The Stewards of Buildings and Grounds Committee has the responsibility for the upkeep and improvement of all buildings and grounds at Mt. Vernon.  It involves and informs the Session and congregation on actions concerning legal and insurance matters and supervises custodial personnel, both inside and outside the church.

Activities include lawn mowing, yard work, painting, electrical work, plumbing, heating / air conditioning maintenance, building repairs and changing light bulbs (lots of light bulbs!)

Workdays are held that allow our members time for fellowship together as well as save the church money.  Many times, members serve the committee by providing expertise in particular fields or a unique piece of equipment.
