At Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church we welcome visitors with open arms and invite you to become part of our community of faith. We offer membership classes designed to give you more information about our church and its members, and to answer any questions or concerns you may have. We talk about Christian life, both in this congregation and in our Presbyterian denomination, the mission and vision of Mt. Vernon and the core values on which we base our church.
Membership classes are a wonderful way to meet new people and a great way to discover how God might be calling you to participate in the life and work of our church. Prior to joining the church you will meet with the elders of the church to confirm your intent to become a member of our community. Following this, often on the same Sunday, the congregation will welcome you into membership during the morning worship service.
